Ease of use
This shelter can be assembled by one person alone by following these steps (see assembly instructions in the cover or video below) 1 - Stretch the canvas on the ground, spreading out the 4 ballast bags 2 - Fill the bags with sand 3 - Assemble the poles and pass them under the canvas (foam ball upwards), in the 2 locations (black squares) provided for this purpose.
Sunscreen
UPF 50+ component: blocks at least 98% of UVB and 95% of UVA rays.
Behavior in the sun.
Although this shelter offers protection from the sun, factors such as reflection (off water, sand, etc.), heat, and the time of day must be taken into account. Using this shelter does not replace other precautions: wearing sunglasses, a hat or cap, a UV-protective top (see Decathlon's range of UV-protective clothing), regularly applying a suitable sunscreen, drinking plenty of fluids, etc.
Wind resistance.
This shelter has been wind tunnel tested. It is recommended not to use it in winds exceeding 20 km/h, as the stakes could fall. If there is a slight breeze, position the shelter facing the wind. This will inflate the fabric, providing ample shade in a peaceful silence. The fabric is made of polyester and elastane, making no noise.
modularity
It is possible to use this shelter using 4 stakes instead of 2. To do this, additional stakes (sold in pairs) can be purchased separately (Ref 8809674).
This beach shelter comfortably accommodates four adults, providing protection from the sun. It can be secured without stakes using its two aluminum poles and four sand-filled ballast bags. It is wind-resistant up to 20 km/h.
